What important about Sports?

Sports is important to me because it helps me learn more about a sport that I have never played before. Watching people play rugby out on the field or netball out on the court will look very cool. Wishing one day that I could meet my favourite rugby player Chris McQueen or favourite netball player Maria Tuatai. But why do you think sports is important?

To me playing rugby is important. WHY? Because you are able to tackle people down. Also get a runaway try. Rugby means everything to me. I wish one day I could get a scholarship to play for the Black Ferns. Rugby to me is probably the best sport ever.

I’ve being playing netball for the school since year 6. Playing netball is really cool. It is also one of my favourite sports. To me netball is important because it is a really fit sport and that get’s you up and running. Netball is a well known sport that anyone could play mainly everyone. My favourite position in netball is Center, Wing attack and Wing defence. I have also wanted to play as goal shoot. Netball is a sport that I have never played before. If you are wanting to play netball try it out one day.

Prospective Student

Reaching the top of the icy mountain Jack was feeling exhausted and his muscle were aching. As he stood up he looked down and saw how far he had been climbing,“I am sure it was not that far for me to climb up this icy mountain” Jack said.

He turned to see if he had made it to the place he was going to and he saw the dojo school so he was excited and ran to the top. As he was getting near dojo school he left anxious/ nervous because he was wondering if he’d would make it, “I hope I make it to this school I don’t want to walk back down this cold icy mountain”.

When he got to the top he took a big breath in then a big breath out ( Knock KnocK Knock door open’s ) Jack belled to the master then the master pointed to his left side then ( bang door closers )

Jack was sad so he stay outside of dojo school all night then the master opened the door and saw Jack sitting on ground meditating but then the master pointed again. Jack got angry so he put on his anger face kicked the master’s door and wanted to fight the master but then the master pointed again and Jack looked at where he was pointing and on the paper it said please new’s the side door thank you. Jack felt embarrassed so he hung his he in shamed.

The Three Little Pigs

Once upon time in a quiet farm out in the countryside there lived a pig named Jack. He was a very very obese pig that love to roll around in the mud all day long.

One day two of his brothers named Michael and Matthew came and visited him, it was a big surprise for Jack. “ There is a big problem” Matthew said in a worried tone. "We just finished building a Straw house, BUT then Patrick the wolf came and blew down the house". Michael said. Jack hurried out of the mud pool. He came up with a great idea . He planned on helping his brothers. "Why don't we build a house out of wood" Jack asked. They gathered all the equipment and started to build the house. As soon as they had finished building the house Patrick the wolf came around. Patrick the wolf was a very sneaky wolf. He would never take his eyes off the pigs.

The pigs set off for a bath in the mud for a couple of beers. While they were gone the wolf snuck around the house looking if anyone was there. " Haha no ones home" said Patrick. " It is time" as Patrick said in a really creeping voice. With a HUFF AND A PUFF the wolf blew the house down. The three little pigs were walking back to see there wood house but as soon as they got there the house was blown down. "That bloody wolf" said Jack. Now where are we going to sleep now. Jack was thinking really hard but he didn't know what to do.

The pigs headed back to the  mud pool really upset.  As Jack was thinking, his brother thought of a great idea.  “We should build another house but a house that patrick can’t blow down” Jacks brothers said. “Aha how about a house made out of BRICKS”. Jack said in a really thinking voice. They went out looking for some stuff that they needed to build their house. They finished the house as soon as possible. At last it was finished. The brick house was done at last. Patrick came around again, but the three little pigs had a planned they knew that Patrick the wolf was coming around. The pigs were very clever. Patrick HUFFED AND PUFFED and tried to blow the house down. He saw the chimney and tried to get in. The three little pigs grabbed a boiling pot and put it under the chimney. The wolf fell down the chimney and into the boiling pot. The wolf was done and over. No more wolf trying to blow down houses.

Oobleck experiment

Mrs Lagitupu gathered the class together and told the class that we were going to make Oobleck. Makayla, Ashlee and Tui went across to the shop and got the ingredients. We had to get into a little group. In my group there was Shoal, Vivienne, Ashleigh and me. Shoal poured the flour in to the bowl, also Vivienne tip the water in we mixed it together. We got the food colouring into the bowl we mixed with our hands. After a while it got really thick. At the bottom of the the bowl had some left over flour so then I grab it from the bottom. As soon as it reached the top it melted in my hand. Now it was time to pack up. It was heaps of fun doing that experiment. Hope we could that that again another time.

Lemonade Scones

Getting ready to make Lemonade Scones. Mrs Nua asked the class if we could get into groups and start working on a Lemonade Scone presentation. The first group who finished the presentation got to make Lemonade Scones.

Tui, Jasmine, Rayleen and I showed Mrs Nua our presentation she was SURPRISED. “Yep, you guys start making some Lemonade Scones” Mrs Nua said. We got all the Ingredients together. Jasmine started to pour the flour into the bowl. Tui threw in the lemonade and then mixed. Rayleen poured the cream into the bowl after Tui mixed the flour and lemonade together.

After that I rolled the mixture into a big dough. The dough was too wet so then we added more flour. Then the dough went perfect. I flattened the dough so I could cut it into 16 pieces. Later, after the dough was cut up, I threw it on the baking tray. We chucked the baking tray in the oven for at least 10-12 mins.

12 minutes was over, I took the tray out of the oven and took it over to the streets kitchen. When it came out it was a really nice golden colour. We let it cool for 2 minutes. Then it was munch time. I couldn't wait to taste it. It was so crunchy that my mouth could kept closed. It was so delicious that I could eat a whole bowl of scones to my self.

Thanks to Mrs Nua for coming up with this great idea. I would like to make more lemonade scones again when i’m with you. You should have a go of making lemonade SCONES trust me you will like it and you will enjoy eating it.

Argument

Statement: In this world there are so many lollies that children love. Sweet lollies,  taseteful lollies, sugar lollies, jelly beans can make children really happy.

Children should not eat lollies. Children’s teeth could turn black and fall out. This means that they will need to go to a dentists. Brushing your teeth will be really important..

Eating too much lollies could make you sick. You could probably end up in hospital. Also you may get a  sore stomach. The best thing that I think should happen is eat a lolly twice a week, so you can’t get sick.

When you eat too much lollies, you may end up with diabetes. You could eat lollies but not too much.

Eating too much lollies can make you FAT. Like a man over in America he ate too much lollies and then grew obese. Your child can eat lollies but by my point of view I think they shouldn’t eat too much lollies.

When kids eat too much sugar they get HYPER and very silly. Don’t give too many lollies away to your child. Never give your child over 5 lollies a day. Why? Because there are bad things that could happen to your child. And it will be a waste of money.

My Report.

Hens:
Hens are members of bird families. There are differences between caged chickens, barn chickens and organic hens.

Cage Hens:
Caged hens are always inside at all times. There are usually 6 hens per cage. Hens are gripped onto the caged instead of the cage been flat and straight. The hens in the cage don’t really get that much space. Also never get to exercise. They use an electric wire so the hen don't get back to their eggs. Most of our eggs are laid by hen that never leave their cage. There are 450.000.00 hen inside a farm. As soon as the hens lay their eggs, they roll down onto the egg belt. All caged eggs are all fresh but NOT the same to the rest.

Barn Hens:

1200 hens lay about 3 million eggs a day.  Hens perch at the grass. The hens flap their wings to stretch. They eat about 20 gram of grass each day. They dust bathing so they can get the dust under their wings so it can get any bugs and mites they might have. Chickens that don’t dust bath is kind of weird, it’s like not having a bath for years. Without shade and protection from hawks, chickens just don’t like to go outside.

About 920,000,000 eggs, get eaten from New Zealanders per year.

Inspired by Will Power

I have just been inspired by one of the biggest pop stars in the world, Will.I.am. He arrived to our school with mana, faith and hope. Performing on stage in front of Will.i.am was really awesome. As I performed in the senior Kapa Haka group and the senior Hip Hop crew, I knew that we surprise him. The resoan why the senior Kapa Haka group performed is because Will.i.am has never seen a maori group like us. Will.i.am has donated the Mainakalani schools $100,000.00. “WOW” I said to myself when I saw the cheque. It is really amazing for Will.i.am to give a really special gift to our cluster. Well in return we gave him back a koha which was a Taonga. Getting comfortable for Will.i.am to speack. The main moment I wanted to see is what his accent sounded like. Man as soon as he spoke I was like WOW what an awesome accent. As he was telling us how grew up, I got really interested in him. Meeting Will.i.am was really cool, well I didn't really meet him. Luckily our school prefects got to shake his hand, they even got a hung from him. As I could see, their was a huge line of video camera's. It was really incredible because we are going to be on the news. He walked into our class with many television camera's, as Mr Burt introduced him to the class. Makerita asked WIll.i.am a question. He answered. But the most exciting part of it all was, WIll.i.am coming to Pt England school. When I went home I ran into the lounge to see if the News was on. Excitedly waiting for the news to come on, I hit the button on the TV. The news came on Maori TV. I saw Patrick do‌ing the boys haka. After the break on the news, I was shocked because I saw myself. It was so shaming, but my family was really happy. I have really enjoyed Will.i.am at school. Now I know what it will be like if I was someone rich and famous.

Sophie The Awesome

I have been reading a book called Sophie The Awesome. This book is about Sophie finding her a cool name. One day she was ready a book about really awesome names. She closed her book thinking to herself it's so not fair! When I was reading it, I was wondering why isn’t fair? Now I know. It is because she doesn't have a cool and awesome name. Mostly everybody in her class has an awesome nickname. She was thinking of an awesome nickname for herself. She wrote down lots of cool name but they just did not sawt her. I know now “ Sophie The AWESOME” she told Katie her best friend. Katie was an really close friend to Sophie, but Katie really didn’t care. Katie thought Sophie the Awesome was dumb.

Sophie went home and told her parent. They really didn’t know what was going on. Then she went upstairs to her room  and grab a paper and a pencil. She started to write Sophie the awesome in an awesome kind of handwriting. The next day she went to school. But when she went to school she just found out that it was music day with Mrs Wittels. She told herself I know how to be awesome in front of Mrs Wittels. CLANG CLANG CLANG the tambourines went. Mrs Wittels look over to Archie and Toby thinking it was them. Archie and Toby are like the bad kids in school. Then Mrs Wittels looked in front of her, “Oh its you Sophie”, “Yep indeed” Sophie replied.

Now everyone is thinking what's up with Sophie. People look at her really weird. She asked Katie “ Why are people are looking at me really weird”  Katie said “ You're trying to impress people, but they're not”.  “Why” Sophie asked. “Because you’re not that awesome TBH” Katie replied.

Now Sophie know not to try to impress others. But she is still Sophie the awesome.

About My little Nephew

Hi this is my little nephew. His name is Joseph. He was born in June 2010. When he was first was born I got told from my sister, I had tears in my eyes. On his first birthday he had a big party. My sister (Joseph's mum ect) dressed him like a gangsta. Man you should've seen him, he looked really cool. The weather was really bad, because it was pouring down with rain, but lucky my sister had the tarpaulin up and also the gazebo.

Walking under the gazebo I took notice how brilliant the decorations were set out. The main colours of the decorations  were, Green, Black and White. Every person that came had given an goodie bag. He was so lucky because he got given lots of presents. My mum gave $30 so I could buy Joseph a gift. I brought him three cars that cost $15.70. Then with my change, I brought him some red and black slippers. Before it came to this special day, his mum and dad paid some money to get a 1st key done. When it came out it looked amazing. Looking at the key I see, a gorgeous face sketched on it. When I saw the cake I was like Mmmm yummy yum yum chocolate cake my favourite. We sing Happy Birthday. After that we had a piece each. Man I shoved the in my mouth because it tasted fabulous.

Now looking at him he is still my gorgeous, gangsta, really cool and amazing nephew. Joseph is now 2 years old. He is a really kind person to meet. But sometime he can be a little brat. For christmas last year he brought me some new shoes and a big make-up chest. Man even though he can be a little brat and annoying I'll always respect him and love him.

A day at the pools

Planning on going to the pools in the weekend with Te Rina. Her mum gives her an answer YES. “Yah” Te Rina and I cheered. After Youthtown I walked home thinking about Saturday.
Getting up early in the morning, ready to go and pick Te Rina up. Walking out the door I see my mum coming inside after checking if there's any mail in the letterbox.  “Bye mum” I say to my mum. “Bye Darling” Mum replied in a sweet tone.

I got to her house. Knocking on her door, she answer’s. She told me “ I thought you weren't going to pick me up”  “Haha” I laugh. Well anyways we were on our way to the Glen Innes Aquatic Centre. Arriving to the pool, we walk into the changing room to get changed. After we got into our togs, we went over into the corner and had a shower. Man wasn’t the water hot. Later after that we got into the cold pools, it was so COLD.

Racing the lanes, Te Rina kept winning. Then we got bored so then we got out of the pool. We got changed and walk out the door. We planned on going to the pool the next day. We walk apart from each other and said  BYE. On my way home, I said to myself " Can't for tomorrow".

Eatser

Easter Easter, Do you like Easter? I love Easter. To me Easter is all about Chocolate. But I heard it has something to do about Jesus. I heard that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he went to heaven then three days later on Easter Sunday, Jesus resurrection from the death. Now I know why we celebrate EASTER.

For Easter we had a Easter egg hunt, for me and my little nephew. What we had to do is look around the house and find them.  She had long straws with paper on it that say where they are. Looking around the corner of the house I found a bunny Easter egg.

Then the Easter egg hunt was over. Sitting down with lots of chocolate eggs in my bag. “ Mm Yummy chocolate eggs” I said to myself. Shoving chocolate in my mouth I look really ugly. Then I got really sick just because I ate lots of chocolate.

Man I wished it was still Easter. Next Easter I'm gonna get lots and lots of Easter eggs and share them with my family and friends.

Special Occasions

I have an celebration coming up in two more week. I am really excited because it is my mums 51st birthday. Every year at least all of my family members celebrate their birthdays.

Did you know after my mums birthday it would be my niece
Waimania birthday then after her birthday, it would be my big sister's 20th birthday, man isn't that amazing one birthday after another. Man it is going to be wicked. Day by day I'm thinking what am I going to get my mum for her birthday present.

Do you like special occasion? When a special occasion is on like (Weddings, Birthdays ect). Two years ago me and my family got invited to my aunt's wedding. We had to wear a long dress. Wearing dresses isn't my type of thing. But at the end of the day it was a really awesome day.

Going to special occasion is really awesome and cool. You can't go back in time so it's really nice to be apart of something that, that person will remember for their life's. If you haven’t been to one try it out sometime. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Intermediate Softball Tournament

Arriving to Wesley Intermediate, I thought to myself, wow this is a big school for Intermediate. As we drove up the the driveway it was a big surprise.

After an awful game against Mansel Intermediate, we played a game against  Royal Oak. We had to hurry because the horn went off. Running with the gear in my hands, I just about fell over. We got there just in time. Batter up the umpire called out. Jaylee ran out to bat first. First pitch the, Jaylee hit the ball, there’s the ball flying in the air like a bird. She stopped a base two. Now it was my turn. Watching the pitcher pitch the ball. It was really hard because the pitcher good pitch real fast.  I swung the bat, hitting the ball in the air. Making a home run, it twas game.

After a hot day at the Intermediate girls softball tournament we all sat down under the tree and got told our results. As the year 8 girls had a tough day we got told the result of what we out of whole of auckland. Coming 7th was a great place. But next we could at least come 4th or 5th. I would like to thank Mrs Lagitupu, Miss Va’afusuanga and to all the parent that let us go to have a awesome day a Wesley Intermediate.

What we do online

Kia ora, my name is Tauwhare as you already know. At Pt England we use Netbook and Chromebooks. What we do on our netbook is writing online instead of writing on paper. Netbook and Chromebooks can help us with our maths, reading and writing.

Did you know it took 3 year just to get wireless around the community. Most of the schools around our community are apart of the manaiakalani program. Netbook and Chromebooks can help student at our school to learn more.

Did you know that we go on sites like, Maths whizz, Xtra Maths and Study Ladder maths, also Study Ladder reading. Every morning we log into our google docs to do writing. When we finish our writing we will have to edit it then after that we post it on our blog, like what I did.

Another day at the beach.

The rushing ocean comes to a close tide, as footprints appear on the smoothest sand. Wearing long brown pants with an oversized grey and
black coat, as he walks along the beach. Waves washing ashore reaching the tip of his feet.

Strolling along the beach, as he takes a walk through the salty water. He’s hearing seagulls scavenging for food and people cheering on with their family. He dips his feet under the black sand as the foamy waves washed up upon his feet. Looking down he see crystal blasing in the golden sand. Step by step he feels the prevailing winds blow his grey old hair back.

Walking among the shore line he looks out into the distance and see a crowd of people on their surfboards, surfing the big waves. As he’s trudging along, he breaths in the scent of the sea as waves wash up on the shore.

Step by step, he left footprints as he walks along the shore line. Looking out to the end of the sea border, in the distance he sees the sunset. Now since the sun is going down, people are starting  to leave the beach. At that moment Jack heads off home. Now he has a memory about a lovely day at the beach. He goes home and share’s his story with his family.

Stks

This morning a guy named Stks came to our assembly. Stks is a very talented person he can do likes of awesome stuff, like Sing with a lovely voice and can play the guitar. As he began singing I was surprised. Why? Because he's voice blew me away. I was really thankful because Pt England performance teacher brought Stks in to our school and I thought that was a great thing to do. At the end he sang a song called Rhythm And Brown. If you want a look Click on this link below.

Softball

Getting ready to go up and bat. The school that we were playing against first was Tamaki Primary. When Tamaki pitched it to JayLee she swung her bat, there goes the ball in the air flying.

As we moved on to versing against St Heliers, they were out feilding. Makerita batted the ball, the ball went far, but then she stopped at base two. "Batter up" Mrs Lagitupu said. JayLee went really serious, hitting the ball far, like it was  her enemy. Then GAME OVER." Yay" I cheered.

Man playing against Bailey road was probably the hardest game ever. The pitcher was a really good trower. She was pitching real fast, we couldn't even hit the ball. But Makerita, Mary and Jaylee could hit it. Thats how good they were. Then after versing Bailey Road we made it into the semi finals.

Now versing St Thomas. "Batter up the" umpire called. I'm getting ready to bat next. The as the pitcher pitches the ball i hit it toward the ground, letting Vivienne get home. Now going into the finals we verse  Bailey Road again.

My Narrative Story

Arriving at the reserve I see a little kid  waiting on the side of the rock with its feet touching the water. I shouted " Are you alright there". "What's your name" I carefully ask. "Hmm" He replied  looking down really worried. As I'm wondering what wrong, I sit next to him. He was probably thinking who I was.

I'm walking on the sand. Taking my sandals off, I look over to see if the little boy is still there. "I shout HELP" looking for the little boy. "Where are you!" I shouted. I am really worried. Then all a sudden I see a little hand getting washed out to shore. "HELP HELP" he screams. I jump into the salting water swimming out to shore. I'm trying to save him. But I see a shark fin heading towards him.

"Grab my hand" I tell the little boy. He says "Save me save me please before the shark comes" He grabs my hand and I put him on my back. Swimming like the shark was right behind us. I look back OMG the shark following us. My hand touches that rock. Finally!  I throw him onto the rock. With a thank you from the little boy I ask “Now can you tell me your name” “Massyn” he replied.

Rushing him to the hospital really scared. We got to there the doctors rushed him inside. I wait outside the room. Finally the doctors come out. “Is he alright” saying to the doctors. “Now I can go into and see him right” I said to myself. As I walked in, Massyn was laying on the bed sleeping. He wakes up with a surprise. “Hi” I say to Massyn.  He ask if I could do him a favour. “Sure” I replied. He ask me politely if I could buy him some dinner. Yes indeed I will.  I took him he’s dinner, then I told him that I need to go now see you in the morning. “ Okay” Massyn replies.

Three weeks later I see him playing with his friends. He runs up to me and ask “Hey aren't you the girl that save me”. “Hello your Massyn right!” I asked.  He thanked me for being there for him. I told him that i’ll see him in the future.

Tamaki Tech

I really enjoy going to Tamaki Tech every Thursday morning. Going to Hard Materials and working with Mr Grundy is what I am looking forward to.

Through this term I would like to spend time on working on my project than working on talking. Why? Because I would like my project to be perfect.

Listening to Mr Grundy can help me on getting my measurement right and making a perfect project. I hope throughout this session i do a really good job and get a good mark.

This Thursday 28.02.13, I started on my measurements. Measuring my measurement on my bit of timber was hard. What I am making is a dice out of wood. Making a dice will be really hard for me.

Getting started on cutting my wood was exciting. Just at then of the session I finish cutting some of my timber. Can’t wait till next week, I am looking forward on cutting some more of my wood.

Touch Rugby

Getting ready to start learning some drills. We had to line up in three rows. Across us was two line that were defenders. Kevin the coach did a demonstration, he called me to run up. What he was doing is showing what the defenders had to do. Getting into the drill was awesome. Learning them fast we got to have a game. But before we had a game he came over to us and told us how to play.

If he called a number three  and two, three defenders will have the ball and try and get a goal. But they would have to get through the two attackers to get a try.
After our game, we played another game. The game was called gotcha. What we had to do is get into a circle. Then we had to find a partner and put our hand out flat so they could put our pointy finger on their flat hand.

Man wasn’t it hard because we had to try get our finger away from their hand. They had to try a get my finger, but they couldn't.

I loved that day. I really enjoyed my day with kevin. I can’t wait until next Thursday and play again.

Fia Fia Assembly

Ms Mulliamaselli called Mr barks to come out onto the stage. Levi, Tana and Lave started to play the drums. Mr barks had to dance to the beat. Man it was so Hilarious because he was dancing like a lunatic. It caught my eyes watching him dance. I thought to myself what a funny assembly. I thought that it was i funny and funky dance.

What caught my eyes was Uili amazing voice, singing I believe. Man I think that Uili Henry and Hosannah rocked our assembly. It was a surprise to listen to three of those awesome and amazing voices. I hope they can grow up and become famous singers.

Seeing Gabriel out onto the stage with puipui around his hips and shoulder and with taiaha welcoming Makerita to came on the stage to do her thing. Man didn't Kingston have the courage to conch shell. Wow didn’t Makerita look amazing in that Samoan coak. Swinging that knife looked pretty freaky. It’s surprise me that Makerita came out onto the stage and done her Samoan dance.

While Makerita was dancing, the ballet group came out and started to do ballet. Then in front of them Saadiya and Dhara came and started to do their Indian dance. I loved how they got up and had the courage to actually dance. I would want like to thank Ms Mulliamaselli for putting on a wounderful performance. I really loved our Fia Fia assembly.

About Me

Hi my name is Tauwhare. I am in a class with great student and with a awesome teacher. At Point England School I would work on my netbook. I love being at Pt England School.

What if I was Rich and Famous

What if I rich. I would want to travel the world. What if I was famous, I will star in a movie.

Being rich would be awesome. I would donate to charity. I will find homeless people and buy them clothes, shoes, and a house. I will spend some of my money on a flash car. Also a mansion.

Staring in a movie would be my dream. Why? Because I would like to meet famous people and also see how they act. Watching people act and how they can remember their lines.
