Mount Tongariro

Mount Tongariro is a  volcano in the Taupo

Volcanic Zone of the North Island of New Zealand. A volcano Mount Tongariro,  in New Zealand the North Island, erupted for  the first time in 115 years. Creating an ash cloud closed roads and before moving off the coast, disrupted regional air travel.

The eruption was reported by a member of the public. New Zealand scientists are monitoring the event. The scientists said that it  was driven by the steam rather than magma. It can’t rule out further explosions.
